Considerable attention has been given to questions of police administration, policing and racial disparities throughout the administration of public services. Her current research projects explore policing as a public health issue, highlight an anti-black architecture to American policing and provide a useful frame to understand policing during crisis (natural disasters, pandemics). Additional scholarly interests and ongoing research include racism and comparative rhetorical and policy approaches to Crack and Opioid usage; de-escalation training as a mitigating factor in officers' use of force; the legal consciousness of Black people in America. |
